We look softly
As if say something
That we both require
Hands poised with grace
Trace of a smile
Playing on a face
Taking low looking into you

How can I know
What runs though you?
Its absurd and impossible
There is no way to tell
We stand lonely
Almost as far apart as a pearl
And its empty shell

What runs through me?
What stands over me?
Transparent unclear
Murmuring slyly
Seeking to defy me
And what I hold dear

Whisper to me in small hours
So calm
And then tell me
That this holds no charm
No saving grace
Or no satisfying
There's no clearing space
When there is no room to think
