Shaquon J. Thomas, better known by his stage name 'Young Pappy', was an American rapper born on May 10, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois. Raised in the gritty, jazz-influenced Far North Side neighborhood of Uptown, Young Pappy was no stranger to the violence and challenges that plagued his community.

Throughout his career, Young Pappy's music often reflected the harsh realities of his upbringing, addressing themes of street life, gang violence, and the struggles of surviving in his neighborhood. Despite the tough subject matter, his raw and honest lyrics resonated with many listeners who could relate to his experiences.

Young Pappy was also known for his connections to other rappers, including his brothers BuDouble and TaySav, who also made a name for themselves in the Chicago rap scene. Together, they formed a tight-knit musical family that supported each other's careers and shared their stories through their music.
