Melanie Martinez - Hellish Pink Ownership

0
Copied!
I remember growing up
The messages on getting by
Life's a game you win or lose
You'll grow out of wondering why
Not just as a wage slave
As a girl I was socialized
I am possessed, so i possess
We are all dehumanized
Competition within the roles we assigned
Values beyond ownership to which we are rendered blind
Police and prisons this culture has yet to refuse
And the earth is the ultimatе subject of our abuse

I remеmber growing up
The messages on getting by
Life's a game you win or lose
You'll grow out of wondering why
Not just as a wage slave
As a girl I was socialized
I am possessed, so i possess
We are all dehumanized
Competition within the roles we assigned
Values beyond ownership to which we are rendered blind
Police and prisons this culture has yet to refuse
And the earth is the ultimate subject of our abuse
