Ed Sheeran, born in Halifax, England and raised in Suffolk, is a singer/songwriter known for his energetic live performances and heartfelt lyrics. His journey to success began with playing music in older people's homes and busking in the USA, where he was discovered by a record producer. After performing nearly a thousand gigs, Ed released the Unsigned projects Loose Change and Songs I Wrote with Amy, which kickstarted his successful musical relationship with Jake Gosling.

Teaming up with UK grime artists like Wiley and Ghetts, Ed released the No. 5 Collaborations Project in 2011, which led to the fan-favorite song "The A Team." Signed by Asylum/Atlantic Records, he released his debut album + in 2011, which topped the UK Albums Chart and sold nearly two million copies in the UK alone.

Ed's success continued with hit singles like "Sing" and his 7x Platinum sophomore album x, featuring popular tracks such as "Thinking Out Loud" and "Bloodstream." In 2017, after a year of social media silence, he made a comeback with his third album, ÷, which included chart-toppers like "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill."

In 2017, Ed Sheeran was the most streamed artist on Spotify, with his album ÷ becoming the most streamed album in the world. His song "Shape of You" also became the most streamed song ever. Throughout 2018 and 2019, Ed focused on touring but also managed to release his collaborative project No.6 Collaborations Project in July 2019.
