Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell, known professionally as Billie Eilish, was born on December 18, 2001, in Los Angeles, California. Coming from a family of musicians and actors, Billie was exposed to the entertainment industry from a young age. She initially pursued a career in dance, but a growth plate injury in 2015 led her to focus on music instead.

With the help of her older brother Finneas, who is her co-writer and producer, Billie began creating music that quickly gained attention online. Their first breakout hit, "ocean eyes," went viral on SoundCloud, leading to a record deal with Interscope. Billie released her debut EP, dont smile at me, in 2017, which received critical acclaim and landed her a spot on Apple Music's UpNext showcase for upcoming artists.

In 2019, Billie released her highly anticipated debut album, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, which was centered around her fascination with dreams and nightmares. The album was a massive success, breaking records for pre-saves on Apple Music and earning Billie multiple Grammy nominations and wins.

In 2021, Billie continued her success at the Grammy Awards, winning in multiple categories alongside her brother Finneas. She also announced the release of her second album, Happier Than Ever, which is set to be released in July 2021.
