Nussy Andrews (They/She) is a singer and songwriter based in NYC. Their work is heavily inspired by the likes of Kate Bush, Joanna
Newsom, Elliott Smith, and Fiona Apple. All of their work is self-produced and self-recorded.

Their debut album, “I just keep losing my
mind, can you hold onto it for me?” was written over the course of 6 years and recorded entirely in her childhood home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nussy’s music often contains lyrical duality, vacillating between quippy sardonicism and brutal vulnerability. Their roots lie in classic American standards such as the compositions of Cy Coleman and George Gershwin.

In 2021 Nussy released their second album “Ugly Duckling.” The album is 10 songs chronicling her struggles with mental illness, gender dysphoria, and addiction. Ugly Duckling was initially recorded at the same time as Nussy’s previous album, with additional songs and instrumentation added after “I just keep losing my minds…” was released. The chord modulations and lyrical compositions were
described by critics as “haunting and poetic…. The stripped-back quality of the instrumentation combined with the bitter depths the songwriting dives head first into creates an equally stoic and
emotionally volatile album.” Ugly Duckling was released impropteau in May and all proceeds made from it are pledged to various charities.

in July of 2021 Nussy revealed she has been working on a third album,
“The Pattern is Saturnian,” her first studio album.
