Saga is a Canadian progressive rock band hailing from Oakville, Ontario. The band originally formed under the name Pockets, consisting of core members from the band Fludd. In June 1978, Saga released their self-titled debut album, marking the beginning of their illustrious career in the music industry.

One of Saga's notable achievements was their early adoption of music videos, particularly with their single "On the Loose," which received significant airplay on the then-new MTV. The band's music videos were played as many as 10 times a day, solidifying their presence in the emerging medium.

The current lineup of Saga includes Michael Sadler, who contributes vocals, guitar, bass, synthesizer, and drums; Jim Crichton, who plays bass, keyboards, Moog synthesizer, guitar, and synthaxe; Ian Crichton, known for his guitar and synthaxe skills, as well as banjo; Jim Gilmour, who handles synthesizer, keyboards, vocals, clarinet, saxophone, and harmonica; and Mike Thorne, the drummer and vocalist of the band.
