Howler was an indie rock band hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, known for their energetic performances and catchy tunes. The group was comprised of Jordan Gatesmith on lead guitar and vocals, Ian Nygaard on guitar, Yayo Trujillo on bass, and Hiram Sevilla on drums.
The band quickly gained international recognition, with NME listing Howler at No. 3 on their Best New Band of 2011 list and including Jordan Gatesmith in their 2011 Cool List.
