Benjamin 'Plan B' Drew is a multi-talented English musician, actor, film director, and producer. Born in 1983 in Forrest Gate, London, he first burst onto the music scene in 2005 with his appearance on 'Cap Back' produced by DJ Wonder on the grime compilation album 'Run The Road vol1'. This led to a record deal with 679 Recordings later that year.

In between his early music endeavors, Plan B released his first single "Kidz/Dead and Buried" independently under his own label, Pet Cemetery Records. He made his television debut in 2006 on 'Later With Jools Holland', performing 'Mama' (Loves a Crackhead) from his debut album 'Who Needs Actions When You Got Words', which charted at number 30 on the UK Albums chart.

While continuing to collaborate with prominent UK artists and gaining recognition in the film industry with appearances in movies like 'Adulthood' and 'Harry Brown', Plan B achieved major success with his 2010 album 'The Defamation of Strickland Banks'. The concept album, blending soul and UK rap, earned critical acclaim and reached number one on the UK album chart.

In 2012, Plan B released his second number one album 'Ill Manors', which served as a soundtrack to the film of the same name that he wrote and directed. The album was praised for its darker tone and featured the protest song 'iLL Manors', inspired by the London riots of 2011.
