Fresh from their explosive performances at Reading & Leeds, alt-trio CALVA LOUISE have unveiled an other-worldy video for their latest album’s title track EUPHORIC.
Driven by vocalist & guitarist Jess’s creative vision, current album EUPHORIC is CALVA LOUISE’s most multifaceted work to date. Influenced by graphic novels and Sci-Fi movies, the record provides a mesmerising introduction to an alternate reality.
CALVA LOUISE will also be launching both a graphic novel and animated film to accompany EUPHORIC. Created by Jess by using software such as Blender, the 45 minute animation will be released on 28th September. The graphic novel will also be the second in a series with artwork created by Jess, coming at a later date.
Their eclectic sound is a molotov cocktail, encompassing ambitious songwriting and searing guitar hooks. Jess, Alizon and Ben crossed paths in London during 2016, forming the band and quickly supporting the likes of Highly Suspect, Albert Hammond Jr. and Razorlight on tour. Since the band started, Calva Louise's songs have found heavy rotation across BBC1 with Jack Saunders, Huw Stephens, Annie Mac and Abbie McCarthy, BBC6 Music with Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Shaun Keaveny and the legendary Iggy Pop, X-posure with John Kennedy, as well as a live session at BBC Maida Vale Studios.
