Rosanne Cash was born on May 4, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee, into a family deeply rooted in the music industry. As the daughter of legendary singer-songwriter Johnny Cash and his first wife, Vivian Liberto Cash, music was a part of Rosanne's life from a very young age.

Growing up alongside her sisters Kathy, Cindy, and Tara, as well as her half-brother John Carter Cash, and step-siblings Carlene Carter and Rosie Nix Adams, Rosanne was surrounded by talented musicians who inspired her to pursue a career in music.
