Germaine Williams, better known by his stage names Canibus and Can-I-Bus, was born on December 9, 1974, in Jamaica. He is a Jamaican-American rapper who rose to fame in the mid-nineties as a solo artist in the New York City rap scene. Canibus is known for his extensive vocabulary, vivid imagery, intricate rhyme schemes, and complex phrases that provide artistic depth to his music.

In addition to his solo career, Canibus has been a member of various groups such as The HRSMN, T.H.E.M., Sharpshooters, Cloak N Dagga, the Undergods, and Almighty. Despite a drop in album sales, Canibus developed a devoted following in the 2000s and has continued recording music through 2020.

Off the mic, Canibus showcased his computer programming skills and internet addiction by creating and maintaining his own websites, including "canibus" and later "micclub." These websites featured exclusive video content, desktop backgrounds, links to fan blogs and chats, and lyrics to his songs.
