Roseaux - We All Must Live Together

0
Copied!
Our families are no longer together
We have no loyalty between men and women
One man killed his brother
And love's an idea we have yet to discover
Father, father raise your children oh yes
Mothers, Mothers keep them safe and warm
Brothers, brothers grow up to become a man
Sisters, spread the love across the land
Refrain :
We all must live, we must live together
Don't you know that
We all must love, we must love each other
Sometimes the world is so cold
Watching the elderly as they grow
Where's our respect for the family
Because without them, we could never be
Father, father raise your children
Mothers, mothers keep them safe and warm
Brothers, brothers grow up to become a man
Sisters, spread the love across the land
(Instrumental)
Refrain : (x2)
Don't you that we all must live, we must live together
You know that
We must love each other We all must live together
We must love each other
Come on children, help me out singin !
In that world where we all were created equal
No men rules, it takes all kind of people
Go walk your life with you hair hair, hi
You've got to show just like he and I
Father, father save your children, oh yes
Mothers, Mothers keep them safe and warm
Brothers, brothers grow up to become a man
Sisters, spread the love across the land
Refrain : (x2)
We all must live, we must live together
You know that
We must love each other We all must live together
We must love each other
Come on children, help me out singin' !

The meaning of the song

Biography

“A treat” or “a moment’s grace” for some, “a record that literally melts in your ears,” for others, people tried to convey in their own words the pleasure they experienced in 2013 listening to Roseaux’s first album. It was an atypical project, lovingly crafted by a little brotherhood of Parisian talent, its members as diverse as they are complimentary.

Because for Emile Omar a former Radio Nova music director, sound designer, record producer and champion of West Indian music on dance floors, Clément Petit, cellist and director, steering a path between improvised music (BZK, Double Celli) and song (Blick Bassy, Ben l’Oncle Soul, Nicolas Jules) and Alex Finkin musical director, as much at home with electronic music, soul, French chanson as with musical theatre (…) their differences are less important than what holds them together.

At the heart of their affinity there’s plenty of black American music, soul and jazz, of course, but also house and hip hop. Reaching out in the direction
