0
Copied!

{Chorus: Snoop Dogg & Kurupt}
La-da-da-da-dah
It's the one and only D-O-double-G (Snoop Dogg, Snoop Dogg)
La-da-da-da-dah
You know I'm mobbin' with the D-R-E
Yeah, yeah, yeah
You know the West Coast is back for all you suckers
What? What? What? What?
So put somethin' in the air (Blaze it up, blaze up)
Put it in the air, yeah (Blaze it up), 'sup, Snoop?

{Verse 1: Snoop Dogg}
Top Dogg, bite 'em all, yeah, I'm burnin' it up
D-P-G-C, you should be turnin' up (Turn it up)
C-P-T, L-B-C, yeah, we hookin' back up
And when they bang this in the club, baby, you got to get up
Cuz homies, thug homies, yeah, they givin' it up
Lowlife, yo' life, boy, we livin' it up
Takin' chances while we dancin' in the party fa sho
Slipped my girl a forty-fo' when she crept in the back do'
Chickens lookin' at me strange, but you know I don't care
Step up in this mother (What?) just a-swangin' my hair
Trick, quit talkin', Crip walk if you down with the set
Take a bullet with some grip and take this dope on this jet
Out of town, put it down for the Father of Rap
And if you happen to get cracked, trick, shut yo' trap
Come back, get back, that's the part of success
If you believe in the S, you'll be relievin' your stress

{Chorus: Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Kurupt}
La-da-da-da-dah (It's the one and only D-R-E)
It's the motherfuckin' D-R-E (Dr. Dre, you little bustas)
La-da-da-da-dah

{Verse 2: Dr. Dre}
You know I'm mobbin' with the D-O-double-G
Straight off them killer streets of C-P-T
King of the beats, you ride to 'em in your Fleet (Fleetwood)
Or Coupe DeVille rollin' on dubs
How you feel? Whoopty whoop, what?
Dre and Snoop hittin' corners in the 'Lac (In the 'Lac)
With D.O.C. in the back, sippin' on 'gnac
Clippin' all the amps, dippin' through hoods (What hood?)
Compton, Long Beach, Inglewood
South Central out to the Westside (Westside), it's California Love
This California bud got your boy a gang of pub
I'm on one, I might bail up in the Century Club
With my jeans on, and my team strong
Get my drink on, and my smoke on
Then go home with somethin' to poke on (What's up, trick?)
Loc, it's on for the two-triple-oh
Comin' real, it's the next episode

{Outro: Nate Dogg & Dr. Dre}
Hold up, hey
For my niggas who be thinkin' we soft, we don't play
We gonna rock it 'til the wheels fall off
Hold up, hey
For my niggas who be actin' too bold, take a seat
Hope you ready for the next episode
Hey, hey, hey, hey

Yeah, up in smoke, comin' at ya
Up in smoke, yeah
Up in smoke, comin' at ya
Up in smoke, yeah
Up in smoke, comin' at ya
Up in smoke

Song Description

Biography

Born Andre Romelle Young in Compton, California on February 18, 1965, Dr. Dre is a legendary Grammy Award-winning rapper, producer, and mogul who has had a major impact on the hip-hop industry. He started his music career as a club and radio DJ before joining the group World Class Wreckin Cru in 1984. Dre then went on to form the pioneering gangsta rap group N.W.A with Ice Cube, Eazy-E, MC Ren, and Arabian Prince, releasing the influential album Straight Outta Compton in 1988.

After the breakup of N.W.A, Dre co-founded Death Row Records with The D.O.C. and Suge Knight, releasing his solo debut album The Chronic in 1992. The album helped popularize the G-Funk sound and solidified Dre's reputation as one of the greatest producers in hip-hop. In 1996, Dre left Death Row due to disagreements with Suge Knight and went on to establish Aftermath Entertainment.

Under Aftermath, Dre released his critically acclaimed album 2001 in 1999, which featured hits like "Still D.R.E." and "Forgot About Dre." He also helped launch the careers of artists like Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar, producing hit albums for each of them. Dre's production work earned him a Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical in 2002.

In addition to his music career, Dre has also ventured into acting, appearing in films like Set It Off and Training Day. He also starred alongside Snoop Dogg in the movie The Wash. Dre's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his highly successful Beats by Dr. Dre brand of headphones in 2008. The brand was later purchased by Apple for $3 billion in 2014.

Dr. Dre continues to be a major figure in the music industry, hosting a show on Apple Music Beats 1 called The Pharmacy and releasing his third album Compton in 2015. That same year, the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton was released, grossing over $200 million at the box office. In 2016, Dre was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of N.W.A, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all-time.
