Symere Bysil Woods, known professionally as Lil Uzi Vert, was born on July 31, 1995, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From a young age, Uzi showed a passion for music and began pursuing a career as a rapper. His unique style and fast-paced delivery earned him the nickname "Lil Uzi" after someone compared his rapping to a machine gun. He later added "Vert" to his name, symbolizing his desire to rise straight to the top.

Lil Uzi Vert first gained recognition with the release of his mixtape Luv Is Rage in 2015, but it was his feature on Migos' hit song "Bad and Boujee" and his own single "XO TOUR Llif3" that catapulted him to mainstream success. His debut studio album, Luv Is Rage 2, topped the charts and was certified platinum.

Despite his success, Lil Uzi Vert announced in early 2019 that he was quitting music and deleting all of his music. However, he returned to the music scene later that year with the single "Free Uzi" after signing with Roc Nation for management. In 2020, he released his highly-anticipated second studio album, Eternal Atake, followed by a deluxe version titled "Eternal Atake (Deluxe) – LUV vs. The World 2".
