Witches In Bikinis - Subway Spooks
00
Copied!
I first became aware of them
When i was just a child
We were playing on the sidewalk
Having fun and getting wild
But then i lost keys somehow
They dropped down through the grating
I could not leave without them
But my friends got tired of waiting
As i tried to find my keys
I could hear a distant train
But what i saw right after that
I still cannot explain
Down there in the dark i saw
A pair of glowing eyes
I turned away and ran
As the thing began to rise
Now people think i’m some kind of cook
When i say i saw a subway spook
But take it as a warning from me
If you’rе underground and happen to see
A subway spook
They livе on rats and people
Who venture underground
A few who tried to seek them out
Were lost and never found
They never leave the tunnels
But some folks say they do
I never did believe it
Till i found out it’s true
Coming home one night i took
A shortcut through the park
I was all alone but heard some
Extra footsteps in the dark
It’s something not quite human
Stepped out in front of me
I turned and ran but left behind
A bottle of my pee
Now people think i’m some kind of cook
When i say i saw a subway spook
But take it as a warning from me
If you’re underground and happen to see
A subway spook
A subway spook
A subway spook
Now i ride the train to work
Most every single day
These things i saw so long ago
Seemed so far away
I still remember as a kid
How the darkness made me feel
But now i know that what i saw
Couldn’t possibly be real
Then one day i was riding
When i heard a sudden pop
In between the stations
The train came to a stop
I looked around because
I thought i heard some muffled cries
And there just inches from the glass
Was a pair of glowing eyes
Now people think i’m some kind of cook
When i say i saw a subway spook
But take it as a warning from me
If you’re underground and happen to see
A subway spook
A subway spook
A subway spook
A subway spook
A subway spook
A subway spook
Subway spook
A subway spook
A subway spook
A subway spook
