Biography
1XFIGHTER, ONEXFIGHTER, UNOXLUCHADOR, One, Redd, Rojo, or Brian Caiden Reese is a 15-year-old Caucasian musician from the United States of America who produces and writes his own songs.
His first signs of wanting to write music were when he was 7 or 8 years old, when he wrote parodies to popular songs as if they were told by Super Mario characters. He discovered his passion for making music at around 12 years old when he started writing a rap song “as a joke” and liked writing music like that. His first song was written in 2019 during early October.
The first track of any kind that One posted was a spoken word interlude which was released on all platforms with the title “i miss you (interlude)” under the name 1XFIGHTER. The first musical song he released on any platform was “Migrate” which was produced by mathiastyner and posted on a SoundCloud account under the name “1XFIGHTER”. Before that, he went through two different aliases, which were “Yung Brian” and “Yung Reese”.
As a child, One was exposed to music often by his father, Brian Eugene Reese, because his dad also had a passion for music. Brian Eugene was in many different alternative rock style bands, including “September Falling”, “Dusk”, and more, and these bands inspired One to create more versatile music. One takes inspiration from many different musical artists, such as XXXTENTACION, Lil Darkie, Juice WRLD, Mr.Kitty, and iAmJakeHill for his general music.
One’s childhood was nothing far outside of the ordinary, where he played sports, rode bicycles, played video games, and loved life, however, his life changed for the worse when his mother died at the age of 38 on December 30th, 2018. One became depressed constantly and was contempt of things he had once loved. He was diagnosed with major depressive disorder two years later after a downward spiral in his mental health, which had gotten so poor because of an abusive relationship he was in where he was manipulated into writing a suicide note and stealing his grandmother’s car and nearly manipulated into stealing his deceased grandfather’s pickup truck. He was discovered in the car by the Pennsylvania State police at 7 A.M. the day of the crime, where he was taken to the police station and asked about it, where he lied again, just as he did in the note, and said he was going to commit suicide. He was sent to a hospital the day after he stole the vehicle to be reevaluated, and then was promptly sent to a psychiatric warden to rehabilitate. One had started smoking cigarettes before this act of grand larceny and only continued once he was out of the hospital. He also started smoking marijuana after he was discharged, which led to the use of more drugs as time went on.
One was on medication for about a year after the incident before he decided to quit taking medication for his physical health, and these medications consisted of Aripiprazole (Abilify, Antipsychotic), Escitalopram oxalate (Lexapro, Antidepressant), and Sertraline (Zoloft, Antidepressant).
