The hobby is a job so i gotta be
Settin' mics up in the bars and the bookstores

Through the trials and setbacks, the jet lag, and when i had to take back four tracks up off my tape
'cause my life moves in gyrations
Slide on a path of groves and striations
Never relaxed like when's the next track?
So the way la moves just screws with my patience
But i'd never fall back
From the days me and jefferson were tryna form tracks
Nowadays, i'm dependent, put the paper to the pen
But my label understand i'd never conform fast
'cause i was build for so much more
Than a slave for attention, stages, encores
