Sonoa - Pacing in Circles

I always lack the words to articulate what I'm trying to say
In a way that you’d relate to
I'm not too good at speaking
No, I never make connections at the speed or frequency that's necessary

I’m pacing in circles again
Trying to think of something to say to you
But my thoughts go stale when they leave my head
I guess I'm full of useless sentiments

I wish that all of my emotions could flow freely down this page
As they do within my mind
But lava falls into the sea, hardens into rock, and lets off steam
Like my thoughts lose poignancy

So I'm pacing in circles again
Hoping this time I'll think of something new
But my words all fail when they leave my head
I'm sure that we'd be friends if I could formulate a sentence
