A way of being scared no longer
This time it might
Just last
The night boils
Like a photograph
Left in the sun

All the faces that I knew
Blown from my mind
Torn away
Take their words, please
When they go

A mind gone blank
Sun bleached film
Turning me away from all
I know
Lost in the fog
Being scared is where I belong

Lay low, fearful
Breath catching in my throat
And all I see
Is the night boiling away
To nothing
