Allen Tate - Keeping You Awake

0
Copied!

{Verse}
And you know it's right
I guess it's time
We looked around
And settled down

This nest of mine
High in the pines
The roots that grow
Won't let me go

I was a free exotic thing
I've closed my eyes
I've clipped my wings

Hush now sleep, sleep
Oh hush now

{Chorus}
I know what's keeping you awake
You need to be there with the fire in your face
Oh you'll do anything it takes
Oh it thrills you love

{Verse}
And you know it's slow
No way to go
I'm filled with dread
I've lost my edge
These chains of mine
They say it's fine
Don't look what's left
This is what's best

I bared my teeth
I breathed the night
I saw them flames
I bathed in the light

Hush now sleep, sleep
Oh hush now

{Chorus}
I know what's keeping you awake
You need to be there with the fire in your face
Oh you'll do anything it takes
Oh it thrills you love

{Verse}
And you know it's right
I guess it's time
We looked around
And settled down

Hush now sleep, sleep
Oh hush now

{Chorus}
I know what's keeping you awake
You need to be there with the fire in your face
Oh you'll do anything it takes
Oh it thrills you love

I know what's keeping you awake
You need to be there with the fire in your face
Oh you'll do anything it takes
Oh it thrills you love
