Austin Richard Post, known by his stage name Post Malone, was born on July 4, 1995, in Syracuse, New York. He was raised in Grapevine, Texas, where he discovered his passion for music at a young age. Post Malone gained widespread fame after releasing his breakout single "White Iverson" on SoundCloud in February of 2015.
