Daver The Dave - Summer's Almost Over

0
Copied!

{Chorus: Daver The Dave}
And there was nothing I could tell you
That would make you change your mind
And this feeling I've been having
For a small amount of time
If I could just take a moment
To appriciate our time
We both know where it takes us
But what will we find?

{Verse 1: Daver The Dave}
Okay, okay it's been a couple days
I'm not one to start texting
I've been feeling okay
No hate, and only blessin'
Start the story again
Remind me of how we used to be
You know I didn't even notice
How much we could be stressin'
Yeah I couldn't stay in focus
But that's just an expression
I've been thinking 'bout you
The feeling only goes one way

{Pre-Chorus: Daver The Dave}
(Thinking 'bout you, thinking-thinking 'bout you, -you
Thinking 'bout you, thinking-thinking 'bout you, -you
Thinking 'bout you, thi-thi-thinking 'bout you, -you
Thinking 'bout you, thinking-thinking 'bout you)

{Chorus: Daver The Dave, Annabelle Veldeman}
And there was nothing I could tell you
That would make you change your mind
And this feeling I've been having
For a small amount of time
If I could just take a moment
To appriciate our time
We both know where it takes us
But what will we find?

{Post-Chorus: Daver The Dave}
Oooh, summer's almost over
Oooh, summer's almost over
Oooh, summer's almost over
Oooh, summer's almost over

{Verse 2: Daver The Dave}
I couldn't find another reason to go back to you
Still I'm still thinking about everything that we used to do
Hold your hand, it's dark and rain
Kissed your lips, then do it again
You felt so nice, how can I describe it?
Like watermelon on a beach or pink bracelets on my wrist
Or running free like little kids exploring through a forest
But that was just August, just like I promised

{Chorus: Daver The Dave, Annabelle Veldeman}
And there was nothing I could tell you
That would make you change your mind
And this feeling I've been having
For a small amount of time
If I could just take a moment
To appriciate our time
We both know where it takes us
But what will we find?

{Post-Chorus: Daver The Dave}
Oooh, summer's almost over
Oooh, summer's almost over
Oooh, summer's almost over
Oooh, summer's almost over

Biography

Daver The Dave is a 15-year-old producer from Belgium. While growing up he didn’t know what he wanted to do. He tried drawing, animation, editing, and more. But after a while he realized that he wanted to do music. He played around on the piano when he was six, but it wasn’t until 6 years later that he tried to teach himself ukulele and piano during his free time.

Daver also experimented with Ableton Live. He installed it when he was ten, and eventually found out how to make “music”. He uploaded his tracks on SoundCloud as ‘DavinChi’, and over time developed his producing skills. When he was twelve, he made a YouTube channel named ‘Daver The Dave’. He uploaded gaming-focused videos, but on the 8th of March, he released his track “D U N N U N”, a song he made in one afternoon. Over the span of a year, he created more tracks and uploaded them as Daver The Dave. At this point, he still was not serious about music or producing.

When he was fourteen, he started studying music at a school and decided to start taking music seriously. On the 4th of April, he wrote “ON THE FLOOR”. This was the first song he made for his album ‘Year 3’. The album focuses on his own thoughts that he was having at the time, also writing lyrics for the first time, and producing something different than his earlier tracks. Taking inspiration from music he was listening to, such as Radiohead, Kanye West, Tyler, The Creator, Justice and more. This would be his first big project that he released.
