Born in Toronto, Canada, Miguel Veloso (b. December 6, 2002) also known as MICO is changing the atmosphere of the indie-pop space for any artist that follows.

On June 27, 2019, MICO released his debut solo single, “who do you love,” onto all major platforms independently. Writing, arranging, and co-producing everything alongside Long Island producer Prxd. Jay, he would drop 3 more singles before releasing his debut EP, 21st century heartbreak on July 30, 2020.

On March 31, 2021, MICO released his single, “make me leave”, acting as the lead single of his upcoming second EP, second thoughts. The single was followed by “had2do,” a collaboration with Grenada singer marc indigo, and “down!.” a theatrical-pop-rock song reminiscent of the late 2000’s. The latter was promoted with a slew of viral TikToks, amassing over 300,000 Spotify streams within the first month.
