Scars of Life is a rock band that originated in Fort Lauderdale, FL in the year 2000. The band was formed by Anthony Parrinello, Jason Rodman, and Kyle Shapiro, who were previously members of a melodic death metal band called "Confined." After releasing two albums with Confined, the trio decided to explore a new musical direction that incorporated Kyle's clean vocals and a more melodic dark hard rock sound.

Prior to releasing their first album, "What We Reflect," Scars of Life put out several EPs and eventually signed with the independent label Rock Ridge Music. Their music gained recognition when it was licensed by the UFC for use as entrance themes and background music.

Despite their initial success, Scars of Life faced internal conflicts within the band and ultimately disbanded in 2006. However, in 2012, the band reunited after a long hiatus and released their second full-length album, "A Heart Still Beats." Although the members had different life situations that made it challenging to continue as a band, they were determined to release a final album for their fans and themselves.

The current lineup of Scars of Life consists of Kyle Shapiro on vocals, Anthony Parrinello and Joe Raio on guitars, Mike Kennedy on bass, and Jason Rodman on drums. The band may have had a tumultuous journey, but their dedication to their music and their fans has remained unwavering throughout their career.
