In 2005, Ricky moved to St. Louis with his mother and it was there that he began his musical journey.

At the young age of 14, Ricky started playing in bands around West St. Louis County, honing his skills and developing his unique sound. Before venturing into his solo career, he was a part of several local bands in St. Louis, including Adversary In Arms, Carpathia, and Henry On The Run.

Ricky's big break came when he gained popularity on the now-defunct social media platform Vine.
