Copied!
Beautiful sky turned black
Our limbs illuminated
Glowing like moons long dead
Wrapped as coralline flowers
Find the sun around each other
Around no other
We fell into the sun
As dead earth quaked
As seas boiled over, swallowing the dirt
From under our feet
Drowned by light
Filled lungs with dust of our ancestors
I could be your twin, your black-haired sister
Of milk and dark night
Of earth and death and all things sacred
As we move, we move as one
Our skin, our hands, our hearts
Bleeding as sacrificial offering to an undeserved saint
Because all are fallen like stars in space
Silver rain like diamonds, fallen and killing worlds
As everybody sleeps, we dream of this:
Our hearts, our skin, our mouth
And all around, the end
Our limbs illuminated
Glowing like moons long dead
Wrapped as coralline flowers
Find the sun around each other
Around no other
We fell into the sun
As dead earth quaked
As seas boiled over, swallowing the dirt
From under our feet
Drowned by light
Filled lungs with dust of our ancestors
I could be your twin, your black-haired sister
Of milk and dark night
Of earth and death and all things sacred
As we move, we move as one
Our skin, our hands, our hearts
Bleeding as sacrificial offering to an undeserved saint
Because all are fallen like stars in space
Silver rain like diamonds, fallen and killing worlds
As everybody sleeps, we dream of this:
Our hearts, our skin, our mouth
And all around, the end
