I’ve seen the first snow drops of the year
Under the trees where no shade falls
The ice will melt into the streams
Tracks will be gone but the bones revealed
They won’t find my dagger or my prints
And they won’t find me in this town again
And I’ll head for the north I still have friends there
And I’ll leave it all behind
The early spring in the dark sleeping copse
I’ll load my rucksack up with rocks
And I’ll walk across the frozen lake
Jury of winter decide my fate
