A wail only heard in somber silence
Besotted by unfolding stillness
No matter how deep the rats are burrowing
The grave remains as shallow as ever

The splendor that lies in surrender
To exult in the shadow of sadness
In the absence of light and hope
Lies the comfort of boundless indifference

The scars only seen in divine twilight
Begotten by gospels of sorrow
No matter how shrill the bells are bellowing
The tomb remains as luring as ever

The excess in futile endeavour
To wallow in the womb of emptiness
In the absence of light and hope
Lies the promise of a world without us

And with laughter born in madness
We shall sever the arteries of ascension

Thoughts absorbed with absurdity
Weeping within walls of stridence
Only then we will know true horror
The burial grounds couldn’t be more fertile
No matter how tender the touch of death
All dreams can only end in pain
No matter how shrouding the cloak of flesh
It could not mean any less
No matter how quenching the scorch of flame
True bliss writhes only in woefulness

And with abundance
Forever without light
And with a tomb for a throne
We watch another sun die
