The plague is coming down
We've had to quarantine the town
The lepers milling in the streets
The bubos spilling
It's not happy it's not funny
All the death is reek and runny
In the places where we used to meet
As friends and brothers and parents and lovers
And everybody i knew is dead now
The pestilence has taken it's toll
And it's beyond human control
We built a little wall to keep it in
The greater good's important
Everybody needs a fair chance
Except for the ones with the pestilence
It's not fair
But there's nothing for me out there
Everybody i loved
And all the scores i had to settle gone
In the rubble of a land destroyed by little creatures
Living in the shit and in the food and in the water
In the eyes and in the noses
In the groins and in the toes
And everywhere anybody goes it's red crosses
In my poor home town
The palsy's coming
The palsy's coming down
My hometown is wrecked and ruined
And it's ravaged raped and pillaged
By our natural mother and her little spiteful team of vermin
We killed the cats the rats the dogs the babies
Anyone who could have brought it in
