Billy Raffoul - What Lovers Do

0
Copied!

{Verse 1}
I wouldn't have loved you had I known
What it's like when you are gone
Now I don't recognize your road
And it's a longer drive home

{Pre-Chorus}
I'm supposed to hate you
I'm supposed to want to curse your name
But I don't feel that way

{Chorus}
These were the best years of my whole life
And I owe them all to you
Wish you well, I'm thinking I just might
Isn't that what lovers do?
Isn't that what lovers do?

{Verse 2}
Cut my hair and change my clothes
Rearrange the icons on my phone
So that I'm not on patrol
There's nothing wrong with moving on

{Pre-Chorus}
How am I supposed to hate you?
How am I supposed to want to curse your name?
When I don't feel that way

{Chorus}
These were the best years of my whole life
And I owe them all to you
Wish you well, I'm thinking I just might
Isn't that what lovers do?
Isn't that what lovers do?
Isn't that what lovers do?
Isn't that what lovers do?

Biography

Billy Raffoul was born on June 7, 1994, in Leamington, Ontario, Canada, and has always had a passion for music. His father, Jody Raffoul, is a solo artist, so it's no surprise that music runs in the family. Jody even gifted Billy a guitar inspired by the 'British Invasion' on his tenth birthday, which sparked Billy's love for playing the instrument.

From a young age, Billy was determined to pursue a career in music. He started learning the guitar by himself and soon began performing at local venues. One of his first paying gigs was playing for long-haul drivers at a truck stop in his hometown.

Billy's unique raspy voice has drawn comparisons to iconic artists such as Jeff Buckley, Neil Young, and Joe Cocker. He would often lend his vocals for demos, eventually catching the attention of high-profile producers in the industry. After performing some original songs for producers during a studio session, Billy's talent was recognized, leading him to his now-manager who used to work with Kid Rock.

In May 2017, Billy released his debut single "Driver," which garnered attention and set him on the path to success. He continued to make waves in the music industry with collaborations with EDM producers Avicii and Kygo. In June 2018, Billy released his first EP titled "1975," featuring singles such as "I'm Not a Saint," "Could You Be Mine?" and "Forever."

Following the success of his first EP, Billy released his second EP, "The Running Wild," in April 2019. The EP included singles like "Lovely" and "Hell or High Water," showcasing Billy's versatility as a singer-songwriter. With a promising career ahead of him, Billy Raffoul continues to captivate audiences with his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics.
