The Rubens are a five-piece alternative rock band hailing from Menangle, New South Wales. Formed by the Margin brothers, Zaac, Sam, and Elliott, along with friends Scott Baldwin and William Zeglis, the band quickly gained recognition for their unique sound and powerful performances.

In 2011, The Rubens burst onto the music scene with their debut single, "Lay It Down", which was voted number 57 in the Triple J Hottest 100. This early success set the stage for their next single, "My Gun", which was nominated for Best Music Video at the 2012 ARIA Awards and reached number 10 in the Triple J Hottest 100.

The band's self-titled debut album, released in late 2012, further solidified their place in the Australian music scene, reaching No. 3 on the ARIA Charts and earning a nomination for a J Award for Album of the Year.

In 2015, The Rubens released their highly anticipated second album, "Hoops", which featured the hit single "Hallelujah". The title track, "Hoops", went on to reach number 25 on the ARIA Singles Chart and was voted number one in the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2015. The success of the album led to a tour and further recognition for the band.

In June 2018, The Rubens released their third studio album, "Lo La Ru", which debuted within the ARIA top 5, solidifying their status as one of Australia's most exciting and talented bands. The same year, they had the opportunity to support Pink on her 46-show tour of Australia, further showcasing their musical prowess and growing fan base.
