Jennifer Love Hewitt - Islands in the Stream

0
Copied!

{Verse 1}
Baby, when I met you there was peace unknown
I set out to get you, with a fine toothcomb
I was soft inside
There was something going on

{Verse 2}
You do something to me that I can't explain
Hold me closer and I feel no pain
Every beat of my heart
We got something going on

{Pre-Chorus}
Tender love is blind
It requires a dedication
All this love we feel needs no conversation
We ride it together, uh-huh
Making love with each other, uh-huh

{Chorus}
Islands in the stream
That is what we are
No one in between
How can we be wrong?
Sail away with me
To another place
And we'll rely on each other, uh-huh
From one lover to another, uh-huh

{Verse 3}
I can't live without you if the love was gone
Everything is nothing if you got no one
You just walk in the night
Slowly losing sight of the real thing

{Verse 4}
But that won't happen to us and we've got no doubt
Too deep in love and we've got no way out
And the message is clear
This could be the year for the real thing

{Pre-Chorus 2}
No more will you cry
Baby, I will hurt you never
We start and end as one
In love forever
We can ride it together, uh-huh
Making love with each other, uh-huh

{Chorus}
Islands in the stream
That is what we are
No one in between
How can we be wrong?
Sail away with me
To another place
And we'll rely on each other, uh-huh
From one lover to another, uh-huh

Jennifer Love Hewitt is an American Actress and Singer who rose to fame in the mid 90s being one of Hollywood’s most beautiful teen idols ever. She was born in Waco, Texas in 1978 on February 21st as she and her family all moved to Los Angeles, in order for her to pursue her career in singing and acting. She had appeared in over twenty television commercials at the age of 10 as her made her way onto Disney Channel as a child actress, being casted on the Kids Incorporated and later appeared as a cameo the short film “Dance, Working out With Barbie” and made her first film debut in the 1992 comedy film Munchie.

She got her leading role as Sarah Reeves in the drama sitcom series Party of Five having positive reviews for her outstanding performance making her a star and became even more big alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Philippe and Freddie Prinze, Jr. in the 1997 teen horror/slasher film of I Know What You Did Last Summer being nominated in the 19th Youth Film Awards receiving a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film as a leading young actress.

On March 21st, 1992 Jennifer came out with debut record Love Songs being released in Japan at 12 years old. The album was a huge success and later signed on to Atlantic Records releasing her sophomore record Let’s Go Bang in 1995 and her third self-titled release Jennifer Love Hewitt the following year in 1996. Let’s Go Bang was released on September 12th, 1995. The record was received with enthusiasm by several program directors at pop radio, however, with the departure of Doug Morris from Atlantic in 1995 the plans for promotion were canceled which led to the album’s commercial failure, failing to chart on the US Billboard 200. Her third self-titled, Jennifer Love Hewitt, was released on September 3rd, 1996 being her last recording under Atlantic Records, where she stepped away from the music industry for three years and released her last recording song How Do I Deal featured in the 1998 teen horror/slasher film I Still Know What You Did Last Summer under Warner Bros. Few years away from the music scene as she was focusing on her acting career, later in 2002 she was signed to Jive Records and released her fourth and last studio record BareNaked released on October 8th, 2002. The album was indeed her most successful work as it reached the Billboard Charts peaking at 37 reaching the top 40.
