I'm worried about the future, that's why I hate the present
And whatever this is doing to me is only happening in that present
I can only go up from here, that's why I'm reluctant
I've seen it happen around me, that's why I'm always hesitant

To do this thing, it makes me lose myself
I like who I am so why would I wanna be different?
Even just for a night shit can go down
I'm scared of who I could become
That's what I mean

There's too many warning signs, I don't really take risks
I'm happy in my comfort zone, when it doesn't risk
Getting robbed, getting hurt, or my organs failing
From my liver to my heart to brain, that's what I'm saying

When I do this thing it makes me lose myself
I like who I am so why would I wanna be different?
Even just for a night shit can go down
I'm scared of who I could become
That's what I mean

I'm worried about the future, that's how it's gonna be
At the end of the day, you can always call me weak
