girly is a multiracial indie artist and performer from Abbotsford BC, Canada. Taking from many different inspirations, girly has a unique, refreshing, and adventurous sound. A true collaborator, artist and producer, girly loves to work with other artists to create unique and ear catching instrumental to work off of or writing catchy and clever lyrics. “His songs are honest and personal while still maintaining a fun and relatable touch” – Harmony World Magazine quotes in their ‘22 Questions with girly.’ post.

girly performed in his middle school band and was also a part of the chapel team which was a collective of students that performed worship songs every friday morning for the entire school. At the end of grade 8 he decided to stop these ventures of his life at the time as they were too intense for his liking. Later on in high school he ventured back into music by stumbling upon one of his friends, Jake (BLXCKOUT), live streaming himself making a song. girly sent his friend a message asking if he could come by and hang out and observe the session and he responded with an excited and enthusiastic ‘yes!’ This is when girly found his love for the art of music and recording. He went home that night and started writing and would continue to do this for the years to come, but he was not alone. girly and 4 of his friends came together to create a collective/boy band named ‘5 Guys.’ As some of the members left to pursue different paths of life girly continued to strengthen his craft with fellow member and good friend sunflxwer. In 2021 girly decided that he wanted to strengthen his musical abilities and knowledge so he started looking at schools and found Nimbus School of Recording and Media and decided to attend the January 2022 Artist Development program taught by local musician and producer Louise Burns.

This year has already been quite the year for him, he has seen exponential growth both in numbers and in skill level. He has been working with many new local and non-local artists such as Jonah Roy, Angus Maude, Graham Maude, and Charlie Desgagne. girly just released his debut album Boyish which will be accompanied by multiple different visuals, events, and remixes.
