Francis of Delirium - First Touch

0
Copied!

{Verse 1}
When I woke up in the morning that was only for you
Saw signs on the buildings saying
"everything’s coming true"
Lights on these city streets waking me up
Think I love you, but its never enough
And when i woke up in the morning that was only for you
Walked through the city
Swore I was bulletproof
Making fake names and jobs
Living for a lost cause

{Chorus}
I remember where we first touched
I remember where we first fell in love
I remember whеre we first touched

{Verse 2}
Whеn I woke up in the morning that was only for you Took your time calling me pretty
I took mine to say that I need you
Living in the basement was never enough
Cause life for us meant never getting stuck
And when I woke up in the morning that was only for you
Walked through the city
Swore I was bulletproof
Making fake names and jobs
Living for a lost cause

{Chorus}
I remember where we first touched
I remember where we first fell in love
I remember where we first touched

{Bridge}
Love turns into
Remember?
Love turns into
Remember?
Love turns into
Remember?
Love turns into

{Chorus}
Remember where we first touched?
Remember where we first fell in love?
Remember where we first touched?
Remember where we first fell in love?
I remember

Song Description

"First Touch" by Francis of Delirium is a heartfelt song that reflects on the memories of a past love. The lyrics paint a picture of waking up in the morning with thoughts only for the one they love, walking through the city feeling invincible, and living for a lost cause. The chorus emphasizes the significance of the first touch and falling in love, while the bridge repeats the theme of love turning into memories. Overall, the song captures the bittersweet nostalgia of a past relationship and the lasting impact of those first moments of connection.

Biography

With just two EPs (‘All Change’ & ‘Wading’), Luxembourg-based 20 year-old Jana Bahrich’s Francis of Delirium have quickly caught attention, finding champions in the likes of Pitchfork, Stereogum, The FADER, Paste, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, Clash, 6Music, Radio 1, KEXP, NPR and more. She’s also been shortlisted for next year’s highly prestigious ESNS Music Moves Europe Award.

A restless energy and desire to connect with the listener lies at the core of Francis of Delirium, with Jana’s personal lyrics being underpinned by an undeniable rock sound that is as liberating as it is intense. Hailed as a Gen Zer excitingly redrawing 90s classic indie rock (unsurprising given her chief collaborator Chris Hewett hails from Seattle and is three decades her senior), a deep admiration for contemporary acts such as Car Seat Headrest, Japanese Breakfast, Mitski, Phoebe Bridgers and Sufjan Stevens is also abundantly clear.

Now working towards her debut album and having just toured the UK for the first time, Jana is returning in February for another 10 headline shows before flying out to North America to play 26 dates with The Districts plus headline shows and both Shaky Knees and Treefort festivals. Having played Reeperbahn (Germany), Left of the Dial (Netherlands) and Waves (Austria) this year, her first of many European festivals next year will be performing at Eurosonic in late-January.
