Wet Willie is a Southern rock band that was formed in Mobile, Alabama in 1970. The band's original lineup included Jimmy Hall on vocals and harmonica, Rick Hirsch on guitar, Jack Hall on bass, Lewis Ross on drums, John Anthony on keyboards, and Larry Berwald on guitar.

Wet Willie quickly gained national attention with their energetic live performances and catchy original songs. They were known for their mix of rock, blues, and soul influences, as well as their tight harmonies and powerful horn section.

In 1971, Wet Willie released their self-titled debut album, which featured the hit single "Keep On Smilin'."
