The series has gained widespread acclaim, winning 7 Streamy Awards and receiving 2 Emmy nominations. With over 14 million subscribers on their YouTube channel and 2.1 billion video views, Epic Rap Battles of History has become a cultural phenomenon.

Each episode of Epic Rap Battles of History features two or more historical or famous characters engaging in a rap battle filled with clever historical references and jokes. The series has featured a wide range of guest stars, including fellow YouTubers, prominent actors, and legendary musicians such as PewDiePie, Rhett & Link, Key & Peele, Snoop Dogg, Lilly Singh, T-Pain, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
