Ogie Alcasid, born on August 27, 1967, in Manila, Philippines, is a multi-talented artist known for his contributions to Filipino music, television, and film. Starting his career as a member of the all-male singing group Kundirana in 1985, Ogie quickly made a name for himself in the entertainment industry.

In 1989, Ogie released his self-titled debut album, which was a commercial success and earned him a gold record. The album's lead single, "Nandito Ako," became a massive hit and was recognized as the "Song of the Year" by Magic 89.9. This marked the beginning of Ogie's successful music career, which has seen him release a total of 18 albums, including hits like "Kung Mawawala Ka" and "Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka."

Aside from his music career, Ogie has also ventured into acting and comedy. He made his film debut in 1990 with "Feel Na Feel" and went on to star in several movies, including "Tiny Terrestrial: The Tiny Professors" and "Pitong Gamol."
