Rose Jordan sets out to give the world meaningful messages and morals through stories in his songs. With a variety with styles and sounds to choose from, the randomness of his music is not for naught, but for exploration.

Randell Watts Jr., born in 2001, the Oak Park-born artist played the piano, the drums, and the bass as a kid. He was influenced by ‘80s and ‘90s Hip Hop, R&B, and Rock. He found his way into writing music at 14. Going into his teen years, he believed his future was vague, but possible in the entertainment industry, stating “I don’t know how I’ll make it, but I will”. His name started to rise when he did standup acts on the stage of OpenMike for the nonprofit organization, SocialWorks, which was founded by fellow Chicago superstar, Chance The Rapper, in 2016.

After aging out, he traveled between Chicago and LA in hopes of catching his “big break”, to no avail. He then wiped his slate clean, deleting music and scrapping the branding that didn’t feel “authentic” to him, and spent the next 7 years songwriting for his friends that were artists as well as continue working on his writing style. He finally released “#nottyler” in June 2023.

He is currently working on his first project, “A Sight To See EP”, set to be released in mid to late-July.
