Being greedy for attention
Is not my intention

To other people that need it
I do it in secret
So only my father can see it

It's kinda hard

See if there's anything offensive within me

Everlasting but not babbling, like the pagans

You've done so much for me, what more could i ask of you?

Except, that you would choose me
Feel me up and use me
To boldly go and preach it, so cats don't get it confused, see

It's more than lyrical skill
I pray, your will be done within these verses
So, cats who hear it can heal

Those who hear can feel you tugging upon their heart strings
Anoint this ministry, lord, this is my offering

It's what i ask
Equip me to meet the task
And fulfill the call you have on my life before it's passed

These are the words of our lord, but...
How many of us truly believe them?

Much more, how many of us really rely on the lord for the things we need? (a new mind)
And not our money, not our jobs, not our friends or family
{to think differently, get into that college)

Not even our churches or our pastor (make that grade)
But upon the one that promised us life and that more abundantly
(to smile more)

So, lord
I pray that if i could have anything
(no depression)
It would come from you and you alone
(a wife, a better relationship, for your dad to come back home)
Yup, if i could have anything
(i'm talking bout anything you need, for your son, what would it be? daughter, come on... wow, come on)
