Alicia Keys, born Alicia Augello-Cook on January 25, 1981 in New York, is a talented and award-winning R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer. With one of the finest voices of the early 21st century, Keys quickly rose to fame with the release of her debut album Songs in A Minor in 2001. The album made her the best-selling new artist of that year and set the stage for a successful career in the music industry.
Following the success of her debut album, Keys released The Diary of Alicia Keys in 2003 and an album for the MTV Unplugged series in 2005, further solidifying her place at the top of the pop and R&B genres. Some of her biggest hits include powerful ballads like “Fallin',” “If I Ain’t Got You,” and “No One,” which showcased her exceptional vocal range and talent.
