Only eighteen but let me tell you 'bout my past
I was driven committed but led to nothing that would last
Indecision in living makes wasted time go by so fast
Now I'm sinning reliving all my mistakes in the past but
The past does not determine who you are
You can really start to move past all your flaws
All is possible when you believe in God
It's through Him that we overcome the odds
What matters is how you start living now
After that you can't go give in now
God so many blessings He gives out
My goal is to just go make Him proud
The past does not determine what the future outcome will be
You can try things of this world but trust me it's not filling
Got a passion for this music more than just a feeling
This is just the start we haven't even hit the ceiling
We've all made mistakes
But just know it's not too late
Used to curse it made me hate
Now I see it's a disgrace
I can't change the past or things I did that I have regretted
So I gotta make this last and leave the tears that I've shedded
No matter what don't let the past determine the present
He took the pain and the strain and He turned it to blessings
All this music ain't about how much money I'm getting
But what I wanna be getting is more people to heaven

I'm alive I been revived by the blood that He shed yeah
Old things have passed away in Christ I'ma new creation
But I'm thankful for my ups and downs they taught me patience
Really came up in that jungle where a lot of 'em don't make it
I defied the odds through Jesus Christ I'm destined for greatness
