Beach Bunny - 6 Weeks

1
Copied!

{Verse 1}
Let's go back, let's go back to the start
Let's begin at the end when you tore me apart
You didn't try, didn't try to make me cry
But I bawled like a baby when you said, "goodbye"
When you said, "goodbye"

{Chorus}
And I've been replayin' the same song for six weeks
Trying to figure out what you're feeling
And I've been replayin' the same song for six weeks
Trying to find a piece of your heartbeat

{Bridge}
Can we go back? Can we go back? Can we go back?
Can we go back? Can we go back? Can we go back?
Can we go back? Can we go back? Can we go back?

{Verse 2}
Sittin' back, sittin' back, in the backseat of your car
So when we went around corners
I could lean a little closer into your shoulder
I have a heart attack
Every time you get up, get up, get up, get up, oh
'Cause you said you'd be back soon
But the other ones said that too

{Chorus}
I've been replayin' the same song for six weeks
Trying to find a piece of you
I've been replayin' the same song on repeat
Trying to find a piece of you

{Bridge}
Can we go back? Can we go back? Can we go back?
Can we go back? Can we go back? Can we go back?

{Chorus}
I've been replayin' the same song for six weeks
Trying to find a piece of your heartbeat
I've been replayin' the same song on repeat
Trying to find a piece of you

{Outro}
Can we go back? Can we go back? Can we go back?
Can we go back? Can we go back? Can we go back?

{Lili Trifilo}
Ok guys, I’m not gonna hit any high notes

Beach Bunny

The meaning of the song

Biography

Beach Bunny is an indie pop band hailing from Chicago, Illinois, founded by singer-songwriter Lili Trifilio in 2015. What started as a solo project and stage name for Trifilio eventually evolved into a full-fledged band in 2017, with the addition of members Matt Henkels on guitar, Jonathan Alvarado on drums, and Aidan Cada on bass. Their lineup changed in 2019 when Anthony Vaccaro replaced Cada on bass.

Describing their sound as "sad surf honey tries to ride the biggest wave in the Midwest," Beach Bunny has captured the hearts of fans with their catchy melodies and introspective lyrics. Their discography includes five EPs and one full-length album, showcasing the band's growth and evolution over the years.

Beach Bunny gained widespread attention with their fourth EP, Prom Queen, particularly with the viral success of its title track on TikTok. This led to the band signing with Mom + Pop Music in 2019 and the release of their debut album, Honeymoon, on Valentine's Day 2020. The album received critical acclaim and further solidified Beach Bunny's place in the indie music scene.

In November 2020, Beach Bunny released a new single titled "Good Girls (Don't Get Used)" and announced their fifth EP, Blame Game, which was released in January 2021. With their infectious sound and relatable lyrics, Beach Bunny continues to captivate audiences and establish themselves as a rising force in the music industry.
