Big Thief is an alternative rock band hailing from Brooklyn, New York, known for their captivating sound and emotionally charged lyrics. The band was formed in 2012, with Adrianne Lenker at the helm as lead singer and songwriter. Lenker, who also contributes guitar melodies, is known for her haunting vocals and introspective songwriting.

Joining Lenker in Big Thief are Buck Meek on guitar, Max Oleartchik on bass, and James Krivchenia on drums. Together, they create a unique blend of indie rock, folk, and lo-fi music that has captivated audiences worldwide.

Before the formation of Big Thief, Lenker and Meek had already established a musical connection, recording a pair of duo albums titled A-Sides and B-Sides.
