We look to the horizon
With longing for the forgotten Sun
We look to the east
Only to be greeted by a pale star

The horizon is etched
Etched with gilded dreams
But I have been
Sealed in agony

We are husks
A frail shell once caressed
By beaming light
Only to be wrought with despair
When Sun hangs in the astral field
Old and pale

We are the setting of the sun
