Dr. Dre - Mr. Officer

1
Copied!

{RBX + Dr. Dre}
Aiyo Dre
Yo, what's up?
Yo man, if that Rodney King shit would’ve jumped off with me man, that shit would've been a total different episode

{Skit: Sample}
Well, I might not be able to let you off so easy there Jimbo. See, you were doing 65 in a 35, and you ran a red light. That's reckless driving as far as I’m concerned! Who else you got in there with you Jimbo, huh? What the hell is going on in here? Alright, everybody out of the vehicle right now!

(Don't do it! Don't shoot! Don't shoot! God, don't shoot! Please don't shoot!)

You're a cop. I know you man. I know what you're thinking. You’re thinking, "We got us another crazy nigga here with a gun," well let me tell you something: Human life means very little to me at this point in time. You see, I thrive on misery. In the jungle, misery’s all you got, but, things are different back here in the world, or so they seem. Nobody wants to talk about pain and suffering. Everybody wants everything to be nice and civil. Well, okay then. Let's be nice. Let’s be civil. And let's drop those guns before I pull this trigger and change the way you feel about me!

{Intro: RBX}
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Fool
Don't you know before you bring home the bacon
You gotta kill the motherfucking pig first

{Hook: RBX (x4)}
Mr. Officer, Mr. Officer
I wanna see you laying in a coffin sir

{Verse 1: Prince Ital Joe}
(?...) is dead, me say (?...) is dead
Them ass is dead
Them ass is dead, dead, dead
(?...) is dead, me say (?...) is dead
Them ass is dead
Them ass is dead, dead, dead
Them beat up Rodney King, them no have no mercy
Wicked officer, them no love humanity
The Crips on the block, them a come to get (?...)
(?...) buried under
(?...) is dead, (?...) my people get bread
L.A. riot (?...) spread
Soon (?...) California get scared
Them ass is dead
Dead, dead, dead

{Interlude: Reporter}
"Yes, we have—there have been riots, ah, uh, rioting. Well, I don't wanna say rioting, but there’s been looting downtown. But right now, Bree, what I want to show you is, they have started fires down at the end of the street."

{Refrain: RBX + Sample}
How many niggas like police?
We don't love 'em!
We don't like 'em!
I said how many niggas like police?
We don't love 'em!
We don't like 'em!

{Sample}
(?...)

{Verse 2: Dr. Dre}
Sitting in my living room, calm and collected
Feeling that gotta-kill-a-cop perspective
'Cause what I just heard broke me in half
So fuck Daryl Gates and the whole police staff
Laugh now, but cry much later
You see when niggas get together
They get mad 'cause they can't fade us
Like my niggas from South Central, Los Angeles
They found that they couldn't handle us
Bloods, Crips on the same squad
With the Ese's helpin', nigga, it's time to rob and mob
(And break the white man off something lovely
I don't love dem so dem can't love me)
Yo, straight puttin' it down, gettin' my scoot on
It's jumping off in Compton so I gots to get my loot on
And come up on me some furniture or somethin'
Got a VCR in the back of my car
That I ganked from the Slauson Swap Meet
And the police better not try to stop me
'Cause they will see that I can't be stopped
'Cause I gives a fuck about a motherfucking cop

{Interlude: Reporter + Reporter 2}
"Yes, on the videotape we seem to have the, ah, people in the crowd throwing things at the officers."
"And swinging at them as well, as a result a young woman there, you see took a swing at at an officer with some object in her hand."

{Refrain: RBX + Sample}
How many niggas like police?
We don't love 'em!
We don't like 'em!
I said how many niggas like police?
We don't love 'em!
We don't like 'em!

{Hook: RBX (x2)}
Mr. Officer, Mr. Officer
I wanna see you laying in a coffin sir

{Verse 3: RBX}
One-time trigger happy, no nigga love
One-eighty-seven time, time to grab the glove
Can't get prints on a nine I throw away
Or get prints on my Uzi when it spray
Pop, pop, pop, another cop just dropped
And I get relief like, plop, plop, fizz
Smash, I crashed his head like a window
I ain't Nintendo, I'm high off the indo
Creepin', with the quickness to the cut
Bust one to his head while he munches on a donut
And crack-up, so now he call for back up
I guess I gots to pack up, filling the clip up
I zip uptown but motherfuckin' cops are all around
Helicopters flyin', these motherfuckers tryin'
To catch me and stretch me on Death Row
But hell no, the poor blacks refuse to go

{Interlude: Reporter}
"This is now covering a very, very wide area of Los Angeles where these fires have been, uh, ignited. I mean, from here to the, uh, to the south end of South Central is a long way."

{Hook: RBX (x4)}
Mr. Officer, Mr. Officer
I wanna see you laying in a coffin sir

{Outro: Prince Ital Joe}
Gunshot, them go bust
Them go bust, bust, bust
Jamaican posse, ya gon bust gunshot
Death Row posse, ya gon bust gunshot
We no like police
We no like police
No like police
We no like police
Jamaican posse, we no like police, and
Death Row posse, they no like police, come follow me
No like police
We no like police
Don't like police, and police don't like me

Biography

Born Andre Romelle Young in Compton, California on February 18, 1965, Dr. Dre is a legendary Grammy Award-winning rapper, producer, and mogul who has had a major impact on the hip-hop industry. He started his music career as a club and radio DJ before joining the group World Class Wreckin Cru in 1984. Dre then went on to form the pioneering gangsta rap group N.W.A with Ice Cube, Eazy-E, MC Ren, and Arabian Prince, releasing the influential album Straight Outta Compton in 1988.

After the breakup of N.W.A, Dre co-founded Death Row Records with The D.O.C. and Suge Knight, releasing his solo debut album The Chronic in 1992. The album helped popularize the G-Funk sound and solidified Dre's reputation as one of the greatest producers in hip-hop. In 1996, Dre left Death Row due to disagreements with Suge Knight and went on to establish Aftermath Entertainment.

Under Aftermath, Dre released his critically acclaimed album 2001 in 1999, which featured hits like "Still D.R.E." and "Forgot About Dre." He also helped launch the careers of artists like Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar, producing hit albums for each of them. Dre's production work earned him a Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical in 2002.

In addition to his music career, Dre has also ventured into acting, appearing in films like Set It Off and Training Day. He also starred alongside Snoop Dogg in the movie The Wash. Dre's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his highly successful Beats by Dr. Dre brand of headphones in 2008. The brand was later purchased by Apple for $3 billion in 2014.

Dr. Dre continues to be a major figure in the music industry, hosting a show on Apple Music Beats 1 called The Pharmacy and releasing his third album Compton in 2015. That same year, the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton was released, grossing over $200 million at the box office. In 2016, Dre was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of N.W.A, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all-time.
