Accept is a German heavy metal band that was originally formed in the late 1960s in the town of Solingen. The band was initially assembled by former vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, guitarist Wolf Hoffmann, and bassist Peter Baltes. Throughout the years, Accept played a crucial role in the development of speed and thrash metal, making them an essential part of the German heavy metal scene that emerged in the early to mid-1980s.

In 1987, Udo Dirkschneider made the decision to pursue a solo career, leading the other members of Accept to support him by writing his entire solo album, which was released under the band moniker U.D.O. as "Animal House." Following a tour in late 1989, the band decided to take a break and focus on their individual projects between 1997 and 2005.

However, in May 2009, rumors of an Accept reunion began to circulate when bassist Peter Baltes revealed that he had been jamming with guitarist Wolf Hoffmann at his house in Pennsylvania. This led to the band deciding to reform, with singer Mark Tornillo joining as the new vocalist after a chance meeting during a jam session.

Accept's reunion marked a return to the metal scene, with the band reinvigorated and ready to continue creating music for their fans. With their iconic sound and energetic performances, Accept continues to be a driving force in the heavy metal genre, keeping the "Metal Heart" beating strong.
