Erutan, whose real name is Kate Covington, was born in Charleston, South Carolina. From a very young age, she showed a natural talent for music and was gifted her first violin when she was just one and a half years old. She quickly excelled in playing the instrument and started giving performances and winning competitions.

At the age of 15, Erutan joined the group Donnybrook Legacy, where she played Celtic and medieval music at local events. Her time with the group helped nurture her love for Celtic and ancient music, which would go on to influence her own musical style.

Inspired by the soundtracks of popular RPGs such as Final Fantasy and Chrono Cross/Trigger, Erutan began composing her own music around the same time she joined Donnybrook Legacy. She also started writing her own lyrics and, with the support of those around her, began to explore her singing abilities.

On November 22nd, 2010, Erutan released her first original album, Raindancer, on her official website. The album showcased her unique blend of Celtic, medieval, and fantasy-inspired music, which resonated with fans around the world.

Erutan is known for her ethereal voice, intricate instrumentation, and heartfelt lyrics that transport listeners to magical and whimsical realms. She has garnered a following on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Tumblr, where she continues to share her music and connect with her fans. Through her music, Erutan has captured the hearts of many and established herself as a prominent figure in the world of fantasy and folk music.
