Calum Scott is an English singer-songwriter hailing from the city of Hull, England. His journey into the world of music began in 2011 when he started singing professionally. In 2013, he won a competition in Hull, which marked the beginning of his rise to fame. He then went on to join a Maroon 5 tribute act called Maroon 4, showcasing his vocal talents to audiences.

In 2014, Calum Scott formed a duo called The Experiment, releasing their first single in September of that year. However, it was his decision to audition for the UK-based talent show Britain’s Got Talent in 2015 that truly catapulted him into the spotlight. His emotional rendition of Robyn’s hit song “Dancing On My Own” during the audition received widespread acclaim and earned him a spot in the show's final. The audition video went viral, amassing over 70 million views by August 2016.

Following his success on Britain’s Got Talent, Calum Scott recorded a studio version of “Dancing On My Own” in 2016, which garnered significant radio airplay and further solidified his reputation as a talented artist. He also performed a series of shows in Los Angeles, catching the attention of major label executives. Ultimately, Scott signed his first major recording contract with US label Capitol, under which he plans to release his debut album.
